Several news items related to Shareware Solutions II this month:

** Spectrum Author On The Virtual Move

Ewen Wannop, author of the powerhouse Apple IIgs telecommunications
program Spectrum, has announced his World Wide Web home page is now at
http://www.btinternet.com/~ewannop/  How is this related to Shareware
Solutions II?  Read on.

** SSII To Distribute Spectrum

On a related note, Shareware Solutions II has reached an agreement with
MyESource, formerly known as Seven Hills Software, to become the
exclusive distributor of Spectrum.  Prices, details, and availability
are yet to be worked out.

** Brutally New CDs

Finally, Shareware Solutions II will be selling a two CD ROM set from
Brutal Deluxe--Deluxeware and Le CD-ROM.  Once released, they will be
available for $25.  Please see the Shareware Solutions II web site at

* Sheppy Updates Two Titles

Noted Apple II software author Eric "Sheppy" Shepherd has released
Sweet16 1.5.1 for both x86 and PowerPC flavors of the BeOS as well as
ImageMaker 2.0.  The new Sweet16 releases provide a few new features as
well as fixing a few bugs.  ImageMaker 2.0 now adds a "batch mode" which
allows the mass production of disk images, as well as a few other
features.

* A2Central.com Auctions Apple II Equipment

After a discussion of the eBay auction site as a business and
promotional tool, A2Central.com decided to auction off some donated
Apple II equipment.  Its first auctions included an Applied Engineering
Ramworks III card and an Apple High Speed SCSI Card.  Check

* Silvern Castle Updated and Reclassified

Jeff Fink, author of Silvern Castle, made a number of announcements this
month:

Silvern Castle v5.1 is now available.  This new version includes a bug
fix as well as some changes and new features.

Silvern Castle v5.1 is also now reclassified as freeware.  It had
formerly been shareware.

* GShisen 2000

Kelvin Sherlock, author of GShisen, has released an update he dubs
GShisen 2000.  GShisen 2000 (aka GShisen 1.2.1) includes a bug fix for
the "New Game By ID" problem.  GShisen 2000 is available through the
Delphi A2 Database and A2Central.com.

* Byte Works Contemplates CD

Mike Westerfield of The Byte Works posted a message to the A2 Forum on
Delphi asking for feedback on a possible CD project that would include
virtually all Byte Works programs.  Feedback on pricing, content, and
format was welcomed, and it appears that the CD may become reality.

* LANceGS Price Decrease

Joachim Lange of ///SHH Systeme has lowered prices on the hot new
LANceGS Ethernet Card for the Apple II.  Prices now start at $155 for a
single card, and group discounts are available.  See

* Lost Classics Reclassifications

Howard Katz, director of Lost Classics, announced three major new
reclassifications this month: Photonix II from the legendary FTA, an
Apple IIgs disk copying program; DuelTris, an Apple IIgs Tetris-like
game; and DreamGrafix, an Apple IIgs paint program, both from DreamWorld
Software, were all reclassified as freeware.

* Sign Off
